The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is celebrating its 75th anniversary with an exciting student opportunity – the ACA ‘Future of Pensions’ Essay Competition.

Students are invited to submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words exploring innovative ideas to improve:

  • pension provision,
  • public understanding and take-up of pensions and savings, and/or
  • overall savings adequacy across UK society.

Essays must be submitted in writing, but entrants may also include a supporting video if they wish.

🏆 Prizes and Opportunities

  • 1st Prize: £3,000
  • Two Runners-Up: £1,500 each

Winners will also have the opportunity to present their work at the prestigious ACA Bloomfield Lecture, taking place on 3 November 2026 at a central London venue.
