Our Flash Fund is now open for applications. This is the final flash fund of the academic year. Open to all current students and 2024 graduates, we’re giving you the chance to receive up to £250 in funding to test out a new idea, get started on their freelance journey, continue developing their business, and anything in between.
Please do apply! Include as much detail as possible in your application as you can because this round of funding is limited.

The Big Sustainable Innovation Challenge – Northern Ireland Trip
There is an opportunity for Manchester Met students to travel to Northern Ireland to undertake the Big Sustainable Innovation Challenge. This innovation challenge tasks students to bring their sustainable knowledge and motivation to support the sustainable delivery of large sports and tourist events with the R&A, the leading body in the world of golf. There’s hands on experience in idea generation and business solutions, and the chance to compete for prizes.
This trip takes place Wednesday 4th June- Friday 6th June 2025, in Belfast and Portrush.

Entrepreneur’s Launchpad – Summer Activity Expression of Interest
The Enterprise team are organising an Entrepreneur’s Launchpad; a week of activity for enterprising students to gain practical tips on how to set up a business or pursue a freelance venture.
It is also designed to accelerate businesses and freelance practice to the next stage. The Enterprise team are currently taking expressions of interest from students to help them to shape the sessions and ensure that they cover the topics that you feel are needed.

Drop-in Update.
The Enterprise team’s final drop-in of the academic year takes place today, 3 April 2025 in the Jobs Hub.
Although they won’t be running their weekly drop-ins over summer, they are still available to organise ad-hoc calls or meetings (with students or graduates) that may want to speak with them.
