Guest Speaker Alumni Jim Winters – Director of Protect/Head of Economic Crime at Nationwide Building Society will join us on 3rd April @10am in BS 3.05, to discuss his career in Fraud and Economic Crime at Nationwide Building Society and Barclays Bank.

Jim studied BSc (Hons) Environmental Management, 1994 at Manchester Met and is now Director of Protect/Head of Economic Crime at Nationwide Building Society. Jim is responsible for protecting members and Nationwide from criminal activity.

He has worked at Nationwide since January 2022 and has over 25 years’ experience in economic crime leadership. Prior to joining Nationwide Jim was Fraud Managing Director at Barclays UK. Jim has held senior roles with TSB, Experian and Egg, the UK’s first Internet bank.

This is the second visit from Jim this year, as students earlier in the year really enjoy discussing the impact of fraud and scams.
